They way mc acts, one would never guess he is a middle schooler lmaoo

I feel the story would have been solid, if the author made mc act like this as college student where he would easy out power the victims just with muscle power and as adult his mind games with sister and her friends would have been much fun, I really can’t buy it when he will “kill” everyone with seesaw n everything it’s kinda makes it unrealistic

Er...it's not supposed to be a horror manga.
There are already lots of psychological thrillers, and this is supposed to be a sweet happy ending. So i's fine the way it is. The little bit of silliness is meant to mitigate the fearful aspects.

I don’t want it to be horror too, I’m just saying everything that mc thinks looks silly on middle schooler and wish author made him college student, like the flashbacks of him framing his mom that was apt for his age, he can’t physically made fake evidence against her so he resort to child tactics but rn he’s still school boy no matter how tactful he is a school boy killing every one within broad daylight is just silly lol so a college guy planning death and actually executing it in first time line would probably make his more believable but yea it’s from adaptation so there isnt much to change

Ohh I see what you're getting at... But the thing is, this world is technically "a manga" the girl who transmigrated once knew about where a highschool boy kills the whole class. High-school kids committing crimes is kind of a popular fever dream in JP media (not college kids). So, the fact that he's not in college really fits with the aesthetic; even if it doesn't make logical sense on a practical scale---it works in-universe.

you underestimate what middle & high schooler (12-18) psychopaths are capable of. i mean, seto sakakibara alone... yikes.

i'm not saying they're calm and collected evil masterminds, i'm saying it's (1) the perfect age to have plausible deniability for crime, (2) the stage in life where you have the most to gain and the least to lose in societal standards, and (3) it's the most formative years in between puberty/adolescence that shapes your psychological and sexual inclinations. a lot of serial killers refer to this age when describing what made them who they are. imo it's less believable for a burnt out college student swamped with course load (cough*light yagami*cough) to have enough time for several murders and evade the police.

think how obnoxiously deluded and self centered chuunibyos are. now mix that in with a psychopath's willingness to forcefully back it up with actions due to their lack of empathy and understanding of morality.

it's not a reach to assume he can lure his classmates and lock them up after school. it's also never specified how he goes about murdering his classmates so i doubt he brute forces it. all we know is he kills his sister, then he pretends to die by switching out her corpse, so all his friends won't be prepared to defend against any surprise attacks or suspect it's a classmate of theirs.

Yeah but you're forgetting that mai transmigrated into a "fictional world". A highschooler planning a death game is already kinda stupid but she's inside a manga so the rules are different
