He doesn't regress though. He transmigrated. Regression means going back to the past. He's in the present, meaning it's after his real body died.
If he could regress, I'm sure he would've preferred that.
It’s weird that he regressed into his son. He should have just regressed into his past self, to then have a happy life with his wife and son
