Differentiating between a story and it's characters being racist and the author being racist is really NOT something I would take for granted from people on here.
I have seen too much dipshittery in my years on here to give that benefit of the doubt at this point. :')

But ofc the demographic here is racist. It is meant to be racist. The empire literally enslaved a race. It is exactly as it is written. But thats different from the story being racist. The kurkans r written to be strong, free and beautiful. Even us readers are not seeing kurkans in negative light, do we? Just becoz a mystery book have murder cases in it, doesn't mean the book itself cause people to die. Please read. Carefully.
