Eh... somehow... I don't think it's like orv at all? Honestly, I like orv, but I think it goe too overhyped just like sl... both are really good and popularized the genre... but people out there acting like they are groundbreaking originals when they are not... kinda irks me... xD

dunno about sl but orv is definitely very complex and deep and it has lot of originality and creativity filled in it so i get why orv is hyped but it's true orv fans are being annoying atp they keep comparing almost every new manhwa with a similar setting/similar looking mc (which is a typical korean look) to orv. Like no y'all need to stop orv setting of the world turning into games is not original but an idea taken from past works but are people being annoying about it? no. i get their love for orv but they don't need to comment everywhere and making the creators feel bad because i know after seeing comments like these... the creator would panic about how their work would be claimed as plagiarized and stuffs like that

Nah... it is a good read... complex and well written... every work has some points of originality and creativity... I've just read too much comics and novels to think it deserves all the hype. Game elements, arcs, fiction mixing with reality, mc interacting with OgMc... seen all before... that's why I said it ain't groundbreaking original.
What I think is good about it is how author made it interesting enough that people like it that much. And that's great...
But yeah... I lost love for it just like with SL... because it gets popular and the new fans ruin it. You won't see fans of the novel comparing like that... they know there's too many works out there and that author definitely used some as inspiration and that at this point nothing is 100% original and that's normal. Fans that keep comparing everything with orv only make orv less popular... people read it and don't think "oh so orv is like this but better, I'll go read it".. they think "oh...so that's the kind of person that read orv... nope, don't wanna be seen like that". It's really counterproductive. Very silly thing to do honestly...

i get you so much! this is exactly what happened with me and one piece. i wanted to watch it but then i saw the fandom being hella annoying so yeah my motivation of watching it dwindled...it's still in my watch list but idk if I'll ever watch it then some people start saying "no if you truly wanted to watch it, you would regardless of fandom" and am here like no i don't want to watch it and act like these people...sigh

Yeah... novel, comics, anime, bands... it happens to many things... and if this happens with something you like and you complain there's even people with the gall to say if you're a true fan shouldn't you be happy it's more popular and more pleople like it now? And I'm like hell no bish! If it's gonna be ruined by shitty fandom I'd rather have it be niche forever!
