I was laughing my ass off when the author tried to imply that they do have fond memories by showing one panel of them playing jenga yet in the story, we don't see ANY of that. Just Dan and Jaekyung fighting and having sex.
It's kind of lazy for the author to just assume that the readers do see some positive moments of those two by making Dan say "We have some good memories" when Dan's personality is sabotaging himself through self-guilt.
Maybe, that's how the author wants to point out Dan's character. But if she were trying to make us root for them just because it was vaguely implied that they have fond memories, then I think that's just plain lazy.
Fr! I really don’t even see any chemistry between them or Jaekyung having any redeeming qualities that make me WANT to see him become a better person there’s nothing that makes me want to even see them become a couple. I really don’t know how Mingwa is gonna try and change our minds especially when I still don’t know how Dan developed feelings for Jaekyung to begin with bros got 0 standards
True! When Dan falls for him, not only it is predictable, it feels forced as well. Do the author really think that just because they had sex and are good-looking, those are enough to make us root for them?
Dan's love for Jaekyung is just him deluding himself by framing Jaekyung in a positive light. That's cope.
I mean, I'm ALL for "kind/positive/nice" characters but Dan feels so weak. I'm tired of author who thinks that "being a doormat" is equivalent to those traits.
We’ve gone through a year of bs and the only good memory Dan could recall was that one day he was trying to keep Jaekyung preoccupied so he wouldn’t over-train and ruin his shoulder? Give me a break
