The plot is they're all idiots
Not a dog- just has dog like behavior! ML acts more openly like a dog just because he thinks MC likes it.
MC misses his doggo that passed away. Ml's eyes are like his dog's and he acts like a dog- so MC mistakes him as his doggo at times.

ML grew up in the countryside all wild style, drinking from cow utters ets. So he really sells it when he acts like a dog.
