Coincidentally Diana might be right...

I already feel you guys bashing me haha
But if she changes the ship's departure time, the timing for getting hit by the typhoon could be off thus the ship might be escaping the cause of sinking
Σ(  ̄□ ̄||)

That doesn't seem to be Diana's purpose - it feels like she's just so convinced that she can't be wrong since she's special that she just wants to accelerate the expected proof of Hestia being wrong - but it's worrying nevertheless. Just a little bit worrying though, since it's just an accidental exception possibly in her favor while Diana's thinking, reasoning and behaviour are only getting worse.

She thinks everything and everyone will revolve around her again. Despite her declining powers & reputation in society! Despite the relationship to her husband falling apart in disappointment, distrust & not talking. How shallow to really think that shaking the belief in Hestia's prophecies can restore what Diana had before.

She's already so delusional that we can expect interesting crazy things from her in future ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

    i feel like even if she changes it some things are set in stone and even if the ship doesn’t sink then something worse might happen to make up for it

    i don't think hess ever mentioned an exact day/time frame when the storm will occur. all she "foretold" was 'the ship will sink so don't invest in it.' so it's not the typhoon that was predicted but the sinking of the ship that's absolute.

    so it all comes down to diana lowering her pride and believing hess is right, or still believing she's always right and somehow it won't sink if SHE decided it won't

    I wonder. Even if the happenings of the novel were set in stone, the novel has already ended and afterwards Hestia was able to change things that happened in the previous future - despite not even having a role in the novel.
    So since changes are generally possible, won't the Diana be able to make changes too? Possibly even greater changes because some kind of heroine-buff? Even though Diana's powers are declining, they're not completely gone yet...

    Yeah, except for Hestia no one knows the cause of the ship sinking so Diana is not trying to find a solution to prevent it. She simply doesn't believe in Hestia's prophecy.

    Actually she can't allow herself to believe Hestia's prophecies because it would mean her delusion falling apart: Diana's belief that she is the only special person - thus Hestia can't be special thus the prophecy must be fake which must be proven as fast as possible...

    Diana's decision to try accelerating the departure time is just a coincidental overlap of her delusion with an unintentional maybe proper solution of avoiding the cause. Perhaps leftover luck of the heroine? (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

    Well, is Diana even capable enough to accelerate the ship's departure? I've started doubting her intelligence for what's implementable.

    I feel like what Hestia is doing already has bad side effects which to me is the effect her actions have had on Diana and the temple im their need to try and gain back the power they feel they’ve lost they end up doing things that backfire so i feel like if she’s able to save the ship she’ll still end up doing something stupid that’ll cause an even bigger mess
