hmm.. i read a lot of like stuff like killing stalkung because i like analyzing their behaviour, what made them the characters they are today, how their mind works etc. i haven't really seen any shota genred mangas that have depth or any sense of deeper meaning to them? except the ones that talk about maybe past grooming or something like harada's nii-chan but yeah.. idk if that even answers your question of if im just yapping LMAO ( ̄ε(# ̄)Σ
I think it really depends because for example in killing stalking sangwoo is obviously portrayed as the fucked up guy and no sane person wpuld read killing stalking and think "yeah this dude had a point".
Meanwhile with shota or lolita it just creates a safe space for people who are into innocnet small looking ppl (most often children) to enjoy their behaviour. Such genres do not discourage, rather they normalize.
Thats what i think at least.
I wont automatically assume theyre a pedo if they read those but something is wrong with them for sure. And the normalization of this genre won't lead to anything good
I like to think like:
Liking killing stalking = romanticized toxicity
Liking shota= romanticized pedophilia
If it looks like a child in a unsavory position, and your brain goes (๑•ㅂ•)و fap✧... you might be a pedophile. Likewise if you think serial killers are sexy just because they are killers, you might need some therapy ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ let's all collectively go into this great big beautiful world, and roll in some good grass.
Reading killing stalking ≠ being a killer irl
Reading shota ≠ being a pedo irl
