For the most part people who the term was used to describe don't like that term, the accepted and mainly used term is intersex (back then the word hermaphrodite was more of a slur so yeah).
Inaccurate. Hermaphrodite can self-reproduce, that child cannot.

It’s a really rare case so I don’t understand how this term suddenly became a “slur” but okay. I only ever knew the word hermaphrodite way back my highschool biology class and our country is not that woke yet

maybe slur is the wrong word to use (its more of a word with a bad connotation to it) but that word isnt very liked by the people who its used to describe and they prefer the word intersex for the most part. thats all im saying (i am one of those people btw)
I think that’s really cool. I just remembered in one of Zaria-sensei’s work (freaking forgot which one) there was this character who is based on the two-sex god Hermaphroditus idk when you said you’re one of those people I suddenly got reminded of that chara haha i think it was from coyote
How what I said is inaccurate? Your justification does not even invalidate what I said. Plants can, some animals can (snails). Humans, most often mislabeled... because mythology, I believe.
