I honestly think the plot needs ALOT of refinement tbh. There are many nonsensical moments, emotions are not portrayed well and straight up dumb decisions/lines/thoughts from the characters (who are, usually behaving VERY stupid and unrealistic/illogical to begin with).
I think many people just do not understand the consequences of any sort of trauma btw, that's why so many people shit on weak FLs and don't even try to understand them. Which I find a shame, because if portrayed correctly, they are the most interesting characters in fiction.
Maybe people will learn it someday, fingers crossed. XD
I think what you meant is the storytelling or how they convey the plot, and with that, I agree. It's not so bad tho. It's a bit frustrating, but good enough to endure lol.
Indeed, yes. But the closer you look and analyze the behavior in a realistic, common-sense-type of way, the worse the behavior is. XD
Plus, there are many things missing that and just overall bad decisions the author gave the characters.
I honestly cannot stomache it, it's too foolish for my tastes. I'm used to top tier writing (which very much ruins beginner stories or even mid-tier stories for me, for better or worse, still not sure if I am happy about my standards sometimes XD).
I do hope you can enjoy reading it tho! As well as everybody else who likes it.
Haha indeed this one is mid at best with the flow, storytelling, and characters/dialogues as you said. However, what I really like is how she's not op from the start. She experienced trauma and it actually played into her character. She's slowly liberating herself. It was definitely hard to stomach sometimes (and I almost quitted lol), but it's getting better imo.
Honestly, I'm just too bored, so as long as it's not shit, I'd try to enjoy it. Do you have any rec tho?
True! Too many stories make the FL the top dog from the get-go, that's usually very boring and predictable since people seldom do new things. ;v;
Gosh, I have tons of things in browser folders, but the problem is I cannot remember why I started each story most of the time since waiting for updates takes ages. (I immediately yeet stuff I do not like tho.) Giving BL recommendeds would be much easier, they are my preferred genre. XD
Does the type of heroine matter? because I know no stories off the top of my head that are quite like what you previously described. Slowly liberating and such.

Storytelling could use some refinements, but it's not bad. The plot is enjoyable and if you think FL is weak, it's because legally and physically, she couldn't do a lot.
Idk what's so hard about grasping that she's a victim of SA and abuse and it's affecting her a lot. Her engagement with fake fiancé was also all neglect and abuse. And she's extra unfortunate because some psychotic prince thinks she killed his mom and has been making her life miserable.
