Have you heard of catheters? Pen size items can enter the urethra, buy anything larger than that I've not heard of nor studied about.
In all fairness catheters are inserted with lubricants... And most of then are not as thick as pens, and are flexible so that they donot damage the urethra... Shoving a pen in there dry... Thats gonna damage something...
Not going to lie, I've seen things as big as Sharpie markers and pinky fingers being used with lots of prep/practice and definitely NOT dry but I guess anything is possible!

Yep it's more common than you'd think (I guess because of the tapered shape?)....I've heard some crazy ER stories from friends. You wouldn't believe what people do and mostly self-inflicted too!
Oh. My. That hurts. I know that cotton buds could fit but I never thought that sharpie can acctually enter that duct. Cringy af.
