it's not that different when it comes about how woman hates man that spend their money and life and time for soccer / racing. and how man hates how woman just thinking about spend their money on cosmetic, bags, cloths, etc etc.
that's totally the same.
I am, imho, not bother about it and not feeling annoyed because of that. whatever it is, as long as they didn't curse me for being myself. I won't really say anything bad.
Anything and everything can be considered a fetish for someone. I think it is a form of fetishization but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. Most people have more realistic views on homosexuality and know what happens in a yaoi/yuri world does not happen in real life. I think it can be problematic if people bring this logic in the real world and view homosexual people in the same light.
I think it becomes a problem when ppl refuse to support irl gay men or when they do 'support' gay men but don't support lesbians because they are not attracted to them and are disgusted by them. It's an issue because that means you only support gay men because you find them hot and serve as a thing for your sexual desires and not because they're human. As long you support everyone in the LGBT+ community and recognize that most yaois and Yuri are not accurate representations of queer people then we don't have problems.
I don't know about gay/bi/pan guys but As a lesbian I don't mind guys reading Yuri but I don't really like it when I'm walking with my girlfriend and some random guy says nice or something like that
Hey, ya'll boys/men on this website, do you think it's fetisization of gay people if a woman, who is interested in men, enjoys yaoi/BL? Does it bother you? There's been a lot of debate about this recently and I'd just like to hear your opinion.
Some gay boys I know find fujoshi culture rather disturbing - they feel that girls are hypersexualizing homosexual men and boys. The same goes to homosexual women and girls as well; some of them feel that boys who like yuri or GL are fetishizing lesbian girls. Girls, tell me what you think as well.
