I do not think that he love Raphael and, there is the problem Raphael is a replacement for the one he love because complex inferiority + coward + discrimination (blond with blue eyes , which one did he meet the 1st? coincidence for victim 1 who serves as escuse to his behavior and customs clearance?) in short... he is not stable and it is not too behaved, he does not understand what he feels so selfconvince that he loves another (Problem: from the moment you try to convince yourself that means that you yourself know that you're wrong)... he literally destroyed a story that could have been beautiful, they could have a happy and beautiful life not once but 2 TIMES SAME MISTAKE DESTROYED 2 LIFES ... /. I don't think they're bonds but I think maybe they destined mate / kill this son hope not but he is capable of it so .... Won't say anything on that
1. This part is ambiguous, in the novel it was stated that Jester suffered from a severe injury.
2. Yes, unfortunately. How it’s established based from all Aeroc’s explanation in the side-story is scary. It was established even before the time Aeroc gave birth to their first child. Clough’s obsession and the mental pain from their relationship that didn’t heal… put him in this situation.
3. The imprint in the first life got carried over in both alternate universe, worlds 2 and world 1.
4. Rapiel genuinely liked Clough from my own interpretation, in his spin-off, he was angry that his father made them break-up and ran away. But I think he also knows Clough from the beginning, because Viscount Derbyshire has been telling everyone about Clough, his this uprising Alpha without a title! Clough was marketed by the Viscount as handsome, polite, intelligent and so on. He has the potential alpha-in-law. In the novel, families like Westport only have omega offsprings, so they cannot inherit the title, they need to find an alpha of noble lineage without a title… which fits Clough’s description. Second son of baron who has an older alpha brother who is inheriting the baron title.
Added information about question number 4. Rapiel’s mom ‘Marlena Westport’ is actually the true power behind Westport, so her husband was just like Clough, a noble man without a title. Itrg explains that old generation of aristocracy still very sexist about the law and doesn’t allow omega’s to inherit a title, they can inherit properties but the title is passed on their husbands. So, the Westport like a lot of families are looking for potential alpha-in-laws.
Spoilers!!!!
This was discussed in vol 5 ‘Clough’s Return’ How the Westport family is secretly looking for an alpha-in-law for their two sons Rapiel and Ariel.
I know people skip vol 5 because it’s Clough… but damn everyone is missing a lot of puzzle pieces. Don’t read it because of Clough, read it to complete the puzzle of why this and that happened. A lot of people find it weird that Rapiel’s parents approved the relationship. Well, they need an alpha to take the title of Viscount Westport someday. Depending on who their kids marry will the title be passed on.
But seeing both Rapiel and Ariel married men with titles it will probably go to one of their kids. Rapiel has two alpha sons, one set to inherit the Marquis of Wolflake title, one should inherit Viscount of Westport title.
