Yeah they probably toned it down, so it will be better received. The characters here aren’t the most extreme I've seen, ML is actually not that bad when you compare him to some other MLs and MC is pretty eccentric but he isn’t really crazy. Same with the uncle, he is batshit crazy, but at least he didn’t do anything else except almost drowning MC when he was a child and being really creepy. Though he did probably hill MC's father, but MC doesn’t care that much
After reading chapter 29 I don't really know how much more crazy they would be if not toned down. Like, the seme is one step away from being like characters in No reason or An easy target.
The creator said, "It's quite different from how things are now, but originally I thought the characters would be a little more rigid and controlling."
My question is... How's it any different now?!
The characters are still crazy and there doesn't seem to be much (if any) difference in the art either. So, I don't understand?? (￣∇￣")
