Really depends on a person tastes, some may not like this story and some are waiting for the next season, I am one of them, this is refreshing for me, not toxic and for me the plot is plotting, plus both the Top and bottom are attractive ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I was thinking about this and why this story gives that feeling and I think I get it. Most of the meaningful emotional work happens off screen so to speak.

We know the initial connection-their meeting three years ago. However, the time they spend chatting, the confessing (we hear about it in a flashback like a random footnote) and them starting dating even.

All those things are usually meaningful events in these stories with build up and they get their moment, but it feels like an afterthought. “Oh by the way we spent a whole week together 24/7 and he confessed sweetly and then we are dating”. Like usually that would cover chapters. Not a single frame.

So to end my thesis, the emotional relationship is being built (offscreen), but we get to spend more time with that red headed conniving jackass than we do seeing the mains fall in love.

yea definitely im putting this out there to see if anyone agrees or plans to read it. it wasn’t my cup of tea, but it’s good you found something to love about it i hope the next season gives you the same feelings too :)

to me it was very cliche, but without any buildup so i couldn’t enjoy it since i didn’t feel any depth in their relationship progression. totally agree the main characters so very nice to look at which is why i gave this a lot of chances but couldn’t love it in the end

maybe this is why! i didn’t feel any chemistry between them because most of their interactions were casual or didn’t have any depth. during their relationship progression i expected them to have at least a heart to heart or be vulnerable with each other but that never happened?? yet the mc was questioning why he was falling for him, telling himself to stay away, and stop having dirty thoughts over nothing but small interactions

the mains reason for their feelings is SO lackluster in comparison to the conversations we see between them. you really can’t off screen romance build up

why r u being condescending for no reason some of your points r kinda dookie honestly because you kept talking about how the main characters had no meaningful interactions as if there had to be a scene where one of them was hanging of a cliff or they had to tell their entire backstories and childhood trauma to each other in order to be meaningful. like??? the story obviously isnt going to suit your specific tastes if you want characters to have deep meaningful conversations but you're acting like the story is bad, when it wasn't.
i was asking if we read the same story because you were going on about how their first encounter was meaningless and insignificant when it really wasn't if you had read the story. throughout the manhwa they talk about how the mc was the one who awakened the ml's alphaness and that's obviously very important to him and the rest of his family. the grandpa also talks about how the ml is trying to find the omega who awakened him, but he does so in a way that implies its not that crazy to do so and that other people have done so in the past.
the characters relationship development isnt forced, its just too realistic for you because its a regular relationship with regular interactions there doesn't have to be this crazy event that causes them to be attracted to each other, they find each other attractive, they get along, so what would stop them from dating??? there have been multiple interactions throughout the manhwa of them talking casually and joking around so idk why you're making it seem like they're complete strangers who don't talk to each other and just decided to get together for the plot

their first meeting is after mc is brutally assaulted and stalked by an alpha, and is hiding in a shelter. then he’s somehow comfortable with letting a hurt stranger into his secret space where they only exchanged minimal words and mc called for help? i would understand if ml wanted to thank him, hence why he tried to hard to find him, and slowly courted him from there from interest, but there was literally no sparks to me in that instance and that’s okay!! i know the whole abo concept plays a part in their romance, so how is wanting more and substantial emotional intimacy a bad thing? the alpha awakening was not a good enough reason for me to believe they had chemistry from the start, which is what i implied when i called their first meeting insignificant because what did it really do for either character romance wise. there’s a difference between having gratitude and the plot making the ml blindly love/chase the mc when they don’t know anything about each other from a five minute interaction…

saying it’s “too realistic for you” is so unreal LMAO. god forbid i have a different opinion. is it really so shocking to you that your favorite stories may be awful to other people, lets be serious now. the reason why i say it was forced is because they used his trauma as a major plot point and then did nothing to address or put significance to it- except for when they needed ml to get revenge on the guy and made mc go through another traumatizing sa experience AGAIN in order to be saved by ml. his reactions to ppl who have the highest potential to sa him is unrealistic. so yes some conflict in the beginning, with ml having to work hard to gain trust, would’ve made more sense!!! rather than mc geeking from the start and only getting reminded of his past through other people, like you realize that doesn’t make sense correct? sorry i don’t view sa as a pusher for romance my bad lol. i do think their relationship only happened for the plot. if they had addressed certain things better, i could’ve enjoyed the interactions they had but the thing is… they had no buffers to create those interactions. it was like they ignored the elephant in the room and somehow their mutual attraction fully dismissed his wariness of alphas. lmao… had you actually asked me questions instead of being petty first and then dropping a whole bomb on me, we could’ve had a convo on equal footing but instead you just went straight to fully dismissing my opinion then calling it shit essentially while not even knowing my reasoning behind it. your points were shallow/ignored the flaws the story had and kinda show you’ve never been in a relationship with someone who’s had heavy sa trauma. sure this dynamic between them would’ve made sense if it didn’t IGNORE THE SEXUAL ASSAULT AFTERMATH AND LONG TERM AFFECTS WOAH!!!
