think of it this way: uke and seme from original story (season 1) will never ever meet again. Uke went to another world and so did ML.
More like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the OG Arok's soul travels to a different universe. That universe's Clough dreams about the OG universe.

The confusion may be the books/arcs that are separated one after the other into 3 parts. But I don’t think theres timelines that follow right after each other. After the first life, it seems like both OG MC and OG ML experience their new worlds at the same time.
So basically season 2 is time traveling??? Plz gimme a simple explanation I'm lost at this point
