I adore a Good slow Burn but I feel like when you have a slow burn. You still need to have plot that is relevant to the couple. This goes beyond slow burn. This is not it idk. I have never once seen a slow burn that involves like two separate plots, and stories that have nothing to do with the character’s relationship at all. like 100% agree that you need world building but I fear this approach that we’re taking is just unnecessary idk don’t jump me now also, you said adult series, but like this takes place in high school this is not an adult series. I’m lookin at a bunch of chilren
I get what you mean but the same time this manga is a ‘slice of life’ these genres always have two or more different plot lines as there’s more characters. Like Kimi Ni Todoke there’s sawako and kazehaya, yoshida and sanada, and other character couples. Along with Horimiya there’s the two main couples and their story and other characters and THEIR story! ^_^ but i respect your opinion this manga isn’t perfect and could need some fixing but i won’t be too hard since ive never written a manga before LOL (⌒▽⌒)
LMAO no because I was actually using Kimi no todoke as my example like the different plot isn’t the issue because the thing is all those stories that you just named all of them are so so good and I think it’s just the fact that you know it stayed romance oriented, and the different plot lines aren’t like sad heavy like this one which is probably why I’m complaining sorry LMAO
I know a lot of people came for the romance and dynamics of it between the M/F Leads. But you need world building just as much as you need them to have a “first kiss”. An Adult Series this is, needs to have hard tones and was purposely made to have hard to swallow content mixed with the notion that there’s a romance after or throughout the series. Just because you don’t like the way the story is going isn’t going to stop the romance from happening since these characters are/made to be complex. The author is wonderful writer imo.
