Misusing terms like pedophile and pedophilia trivializes them. It's like calling an apple an orange. And instead of rectifying their mistake or educating themselves they attacked me. The term you're looking for is statutory rape since the ml also hasn't shown any sexual attraction to post pubescent children (because if he had he'd have also thought about having sex with him but he only thought of killing him). He changed his tactics only when he realized simply killing mc isn't "fun". So it can't be ephebophila. Also child predators aren't always sexually attracted to children or minors, most of the times it's a form of violence or to exert dominance and/or control over their victim which is most likely the case here. I also think ml is grooming the mc towards a purpose so that it'd be more "fun" to kill him later.
Like I get their point about other ppl in the internet used it as an umbrella term or something BUT it's not wrong for others to give correction too specially if it's for education purpose or just providing info. Yes I think that's the term that I was talking about and I agree some child predators and even those who rape other ppl aren't always sexually attracted to the victims some (or most ) of them wanted to "practice" their dominance, it seems like they wanna prove to themselves that they are powerful over the victim I sometimes wonder that maybe this is the reason why most of their victims are children and women.
