That's true I remember now one of the reasons I dropped eleceed was because the MC kept being saved by his mentor then (from where I stopped) they still haven't dwelved into the mentor's backstory. On the other hand, here we see Ijin using his own skills, meeting the people from his past while also seeing him develop emotions that he was deprived of

That’s crazyyyy lol, I’m like the opposite. Though I like both. I feel like the characters in eleceed are more fun to read about and it makes it easier for me to grow attach to. It’s especially fun to see up and down growths rather then just an upward growth. They both are pretty repetitive the same plot n people being surprised about their strengths though :/
The arcs just keep repeating. The same reason why I dropped eleceed but for some reason I'm able to continue enjoying this one lol maybe when they're still doing this shit until 270 chapters I'll give it the same treatment but who knows ahahaha
