Ian is sorry to Gyunie because they promised to meet but couldn't because the lost child wouldn't let Ian go from the police station. Also, the choco box - Ian returned the choco box because he was scared for keeping something not his. He didn't know there was that big amount of money inside. He just thought its a choco box. The adults around him concluded he was an angel for returning the money but he didn't know about the money and from then on Ian built/was pressured(?) this image of being a good kid even if sometimes he might not want to be good.
Hope this helps.
no, he probably would have still returned it. the "angel story" is that ian found this huge amount of money and returned it, saving a family from financial ruin. but the actual true story is that ian never saw the money, so the thing people praise him for (not taking the money) isnt true. so in ian's eyes, the angel story is fake (even though he still did a good thing by returning something that wasnt his)
I don't understand why's ian guilty? Why did he looked surprised when he saw the money inside the chocolate box??? I kept rereading the chap but i still don't get it
