i can't remember exactly because i read the novel a long time ago, but i believe emi went to a place similar to heaven, and then remilia (who wasn't dead she just went there) appeared and asked emi if she was interested in possessing the baby in her womb (remilia had just gotten pregnant) emi was able to be remila's baby because the baby was not yet fully formed. however, when this occurred, she loses all of her previous memories. so sadly after emi becomes remilia’s child emi won’t remember her past life. but remilia is happy that she gets to live with emi and give her a new happy life.
The spirit king protected both ogFL and Emi's spirits while Rem was conducting shady experiments on the ppl who falsely accused Emi. Trying to figure out how she can bring Emi's spirit out, she eventually decides to have a child and place Emi's spirit in before the fetus develops a soul.
OgFL was abused horribly by her father even with the spirit's blessings and eventually disconnected her soul from her body after being so ashamed of what Pina was doing. Bc their blessed child was so sad, the spirit king reached out to Remy so she could be reborn and forget this life and Remy took the opportunity to use her as a trial before having Emi. Don't feel too bad tho, she also loves ogFL, who chose to be reborn a boy Anri.
It's hilarious bc even as a baby, Emi would only stop crying if Remy was holding her. Everyone else, the nanny, Angel her father, she'd cry till exhaustion lol. They still simp each other hard as mother and child (▰˘◡˘▰)
