I read it somewhere that (Spoilers)






Karhan's mother finds out much later in the story after her husbands death that the one who left dead animals in front of her door wasn't Karhan as she thought but her other more beloved son. She finds out about how horrible her beloved son was and that all along Karhan had been the one leaving flowers for her on her windowsill and gifting her stuff.
But she finds out too late and although she does later on acknowledge him as the head of the house, she decides to move to the countryside and not meet him anymore due to her guilt and shame. Living a more calm normal life, though Karhan continues to send her gifts and etc but she refuses to meet him.
So technically although there is no real karma, she does realize how wrong and awful she was and in a way Karhan's name was cleared as he never really did anythgin wrong.
I could have a few details wrong but I'm pretty sure thats the gist of her part in the story.

Oooh also Ilya does find out I think as he leaves his family and goes to live with her family. Super sweet and endearing as her family acknowledges and teaches him a lot.

If this is true it's so annoying... That's not taking accountability, that's running away. Especially if he's not done with her as his parent and is still sending her gifts. I'll have to wait, maybe the communication fills things in to make that seem less shitty

Yes and that is only according to the novel, who knows they might switch it up here.
I also thought it was a very unfair move because despite it all Karhan still loves and yearns for his mothers affection and attention. I thought it would be nice if they resolve they're misunderstanding because I genuinely think Karhan would have definitely forgiven her as he continues to love her.
The fact that she ran away and didn't want to talk or speak or bother him is just unfair to him as he wants a relationship with her and that isn't right.
Still in a way I think it doesn't matter because Karhan will be happy enough with his In-laws and wife ヾ(☆▽☆)
