I know right and I keep searching for posts about this because I wasn't sure but did Luciano and the rest of her family let her stay with the prince despite his abuse and their love for Ines? I know it's normal for high ranking nobles to let their daughters be in suboptimal domestic situations but they(father and brother at least) claim to love Ines and they did nothing, they just pretended like no abuse was even happening.

Like I know they have too much to lose to actually rebel and take Ines away from her abuse. But they didn't even give a please hang in there for a little while longer and we'll get you out of that palace the prince imprisoned you in.

Maybe by making excuses, saying that the miscarriages had taken a greater toll and she should rest in her family or a vacation home away for awhile. Or even sending people who could comfort and protect her since she was being spied on by the Queen and prince and had no one really on her side in the palace.

Like Oscar is still just the crown prince, not the Emperor. They could have done something, anything still.

I think this is because in the story, the dukes houses are duty bound to support the crown. That they exist for the benefit of the Royal family hence Father and Son who are The Duke and Dukes heir respectively has a very solemn obligation to support the crown, and in their case, help secure a very powerful heir to the throne, and so here comes Inez, who is from Valeztena dukedom, who is female and can give birth to the said powerful/pureblood heir.

Luciano's reaction is more expressive than Inez's father who completely turned a blind eye. Luciano's reaction shows that he loves and cares for inez, is horrified and disgusted by her situation and treatment at the Palace but he can do nothing because of the duty they have to the crown. And of course honor Inez will bring once she secures her right to the crown as queen when she provides an heir. Carcel also did nothing to help Inez get out of that situation.

Its more like, dont give up(even with all the abuse), once you birth an heir you will have power, glory and respect that comes with your title as queen anyway. And with this, name and glory for house of Valeztena. So they expect Inez to embrace the abuse if it means she will birth an heir for Oscar. In the distant past, A woman can ask sympathy form her family(which the family may or may not give too) but not support in her married life as the moment she is married she is literally property of her husband who he can treat as he deems fit.
