it bothers me when authors make their main character dumb sometimes because these are such obvious red flags that don’t require much thought to see. with the way everyone disappears around him or gets scared to offend him, ignoring the rumors gets sooyoung nowhere? but hey it wouldn’t be a toxic yaoi plot without the insane top and the naive/slow bottom
are you okay? hun i literally explained in the paragraph how there are more than obvious red flags that the author makes a character blind to… with this story it’s ignoring rumors of someone’s violent tendencies, seeing how rich people treat their workers, and how as a poor person he knows how it feels to be belittled because of his “status”. the answer is on a silver platter about how terribly out of touch these people are
as a person with real life experiences i can call it out. is it really so shocking that i can give a think piece from sooyoungs perspective and aren’t solely basing my opinion from an all knowing reader standpoint? so judgmental for no reason wtf
not everyone views things the same way. something thats “obvious” to one person might not be “obvious” to others. just because YOU think its obvious doesnt mean the character should. he thinks the rumors are false because ml almost completely hides his awful persona around him and sooyoung has feelings for him which blinds him from mls bad sides in many ways. its not like ml and his dad were straight up assholes to the workers so i dont know what youre getting at with that. you cant “give a piece from sooyoungs perspective” because youre not sooyoung
besides how the dad treated the mom and how jiwan basically nerfs anyone around sooyoung, the way this family practically ignore their employees and dehumanize them too??
sooyoung… you are literally so intelligent and are currently going through poverty yourself where is your class consciousness bro
