The Uke was 19, and when this manga came out the age of adulthood in Japan was still 20. It changed in 2022 so if the Uke was no longer a minor after graduation he had to have been 19 when they met.
More than being a pedophile, he's a sexual predator with one specific victim lol. He was 32 purposely building a relationship with someone Vulnerable (parentified) at 17 or 16. He even had the stereotypical predator chat about him being a virgin or liking someone HAHA. It's like ppl think your brain ages the second you turn 18- yes he can make choices yes he's a thinking person, but he is still someone at the cusp of growing up. His ideals and desires and personhood are subject to drastic change- all while he is now in a relationship with a fully stable and established adult man who already had the chance to do all that on his own.I think you're missing the point if your only defense of this is "it's legal and he's an adult who can make a legal choice." but like......it's fiction
