Both his parents wanted him to go to different places and he went to neither of them as I remember, he went to a company that almost only has Immortals and the dad was happy with that even tho it wasn't the company he wanted his son to go to originally and the mom was ok with it because basically he didn't go to either of their choises and basically it was his choice (he made this choice because he wanted to become strong and make a lot of money xD). Also it's easier to hide that he is a shapeshifter than it is to hide that he is an immortal, and that was also why he went to an immortal company in my opinion.
I'm not sure if this has been asked since I read through the series in one sitting, but doesn't the dad work in the same company as his son? So shouldn't he be aware or heard of his son's activity or accomplishments?
Also what happened to attending college like the mom wants too?
