Cuz it is not his job, things like this are the highest female royal duty, going against Diana would be overstepping her authority (she is supposed to have maximum authority in this matter) thus it would look REALLY bad for him to do so, like not a "bad reception" bad but a "instability in the royal family" bad

I don’t really agree, crown prince maybe yeah, but not him. She’s not even the empress, she’s a crown princess. This is a highly important delegation, I think he has every right to demand her to do her job right. If she has no skills meant for her position then I think, the highest authority in kingdom (the emperor), has every right to intervene.

The thing is, not only he will be admiting she has no skill but that he doesn't trust her, look he is the highest authority but it doesn't mean he has to know or the right to decide thing like if the maid will clean the window 1 or 5 times a day, neither go himself and do it,
he is the all might, can he order it/ do it? Obviously he can
but he is overstepping someone else jurisdiction and area of knowledge, he is basically saying the maid or the palace management is not doing a good job or/and are not trustful and obviously people will question what a incompetent person is doing in the imperial palace, obviously people would find it suuuuper weird, this would be a polemic
the duty of the crown princess and the queen (or even any noble woman) is manage the house, reception of guess, maintaining their image and prestige and so on, he recommending another woman to help or guide Diane is one thing but he tooking the task to himself is another thing, and as we know Diane rejected help

No, no I don’t think he should’ve taken a task himself. I think he should’ve ordered her and kept her in check. Especially after she made someone who worked for their family for decades leave. Would he be overstepping? Yeah, but I think Diana needs and deserves that.
