Completely agree.. to me this even seems more shoujo than yaoi. Its just so so SOOOO girly and cringy. O_O

Because of the fact there is plenty of Yaoi rape and omegaverse and add the Kdrama BL are taking over the Yaio world you think of sweet one shots are boring. Actually I like this alot it's taking us away from the endless overly dramatic plots.. And I can't get what's wrong with some gays being girlish? I met few gays and they even talk in a more girlish way than myself..... Not all gays are manly
I think you're misunderstanding us. I'm not tired of sweet stories by any means, actually, I'm tired of all those rape stories myself, but even if I'm tolerant for yaoi cliches, the stories here went light speeding. For example, just look at Ichikawa-sensei's fluffy one-shots, they have FAR superior writing. By girly, that person was talking about some cliches used in shoujo manga, not that the guys are girly.
Didn't even finish the first story. It was so cliché, it wasn't interesting at all.
Yeah I see what you mean but you kinda gotta remember that these are oneshots... of course the pace is gonna be rushed which also explains the cliche aspects because it easily moves the story along... that's also why I prefer long mangas with more of a story. (=・ω・=)
I understand that; and I usually expect (and even often like) that yaoi has typical tropes, especially in oneshots. But you got to admit that even for oneshot standards, the stories are complete shit. And with that in mind, I think of several oneshot yaoi manga that pretty decent plots.
It's so sad that you made baseless assumptions. Just based on the description, I can't even bother to start reading this manga. Anyway, being sweet is not the problem. I just read a manga that's pretty fluffy aside from a sad back story that they didn't even drag out. It has it's own share of cliches but the character themselves made up for it. So, no. It's not just a bias on the story's theme.

I mean, sure, the art is super pretty, but... The pace is too fast and thus the cliches just made me roll eyes rather than think the stories were cute.
