There isn't he was always against her because of her dad but the thing is he was always suspicious for no reason when she literally did not want to come back they force her to come back and he's just been hostile with her ever since.
So yeah he doesn’t make any sense she has enough enemies she doesn’t need his drama. The kings literally bed ridden and he’s worrying about getting her out like that won’t mess up the kingdom even more.
Exactly, I didn't appreciate the kings guard either in the previous chapter when he was suspicious of her too. Like it just feels like no one gives her authority. It shouldn't matter whether they trust her or not but they should listen to her since she's the empress. She shouldn't have to prove it.
Can someone remind me why this red head wants the empress and her family out again please? Because I really don’t remember why he’s gunning for her like this to literally work with a woman who wants to be empress but would also be a terrible empress literally look at her character. But honestly no matter what the explanation is it probably doesn’t make sense.
