Asexuality doesn't mean not feeling romantic attraction for someone. That's aromanticism. Asexuality is when someone feels very little to no sexual attraction for someone. I'm ace but I do fall in love with people, and that's why I'm biromantic/panromantic. On the other hand, Aro people do not fall in love but can have s*x with anyone they find sexually attractive. So I think here the guy might be aroace or just ace and he might very well fall in love later at some point.

Thats not what I meant, in romantic relationship there will be a sexual relationship happenings and since asexual does not have sexual attraction they cannot do that, so its not like asexual can do a romantic relationship because they still feel romantic affection, I do know that, but its because a romantic relationship is one with sexual relationship otherwise your relationship are endangered because your relationship are in a rut
However in a platonic relationship, they only do a romance without sexual relationship in which what asexual usually in because they can still feel a romantic affection but not sexual attraction

i disagree. people don't need sex to be in a loving romantic relationship lol we're all different and we all have different needs. people with low libido exist as well or people that don't think sex is an important part of a relationship. so that might be your opinion, but it doesn't mean it's right lol

so yes asexual people can and do have romantic relationships. unless they're also aromantic, and even then they might have queerplatonic relationships.

I understand what you meant but it is not correct. Or, as I can better word it, you have the point of view of a non-asexual person. I am ace and I am in a romantic relationship but we DO NOT have s*x. We are both in the ace spectrum and we are very much in love with each other. I even know someone married to an ace person, and their marriage is not in danger/not in a rut. Asexual people can have romantic relationships without any of the problems you have listed. Contrary to popular beliefs, s*x is not everything in a romantic relationship. You should read a bit more about asexuality and how ace people navigate romantic relationships, because your biases do not apply to real life asexual people. But, if a person is aromantic or aroace then yes, they will not have romantic relationships (nor sexual ones, if they are also ace) and they will likely have only platonic relationships.
If you read some of the previous comments you will see that someone else explains that in this story it is not explained very well what asexuality means nor it is specified if the guy is aro, ace or both.
