Just to clear things up!
There was another method and they were going to try that but her condition deteriorated too fast for them to try it and they had to resort to the method where he balances out her yin energy with his yang energy. His fiance and the woman's family agreed to this method, in the end he also agreed to this. Once she improved, her father explained the situation to her and she was also okay with it. This method also gives him more power so I believe this way makes more sense to 1. gain allies and 2. gain more strength which in turn helps the plot make a little bit more sense.
Stopped reading this awhile ago just because of the fast pace romance in my opinion. But then reading the spoiler ahead of time from you guys... Maybe it's the right choice after all, sad the author decided that the only way to save the girl is by forcing the MC to s*x with her like maybe try another way first?
Just my opinion though and before you say that this isn't grape.. Idk for me feel like it is, Because the author put mindset of "He (MC) need to had s*x with her to save her" even though MC didn't want to and because he get pressured by the girl family, I heard from the other comments that there's supposedly another way to save her but the author choose to do this one? (Idk if this true or not)
