I think romance wise it's going at a pretty good pace, she's already known to be someone who is slow to understand her own feelings and with each arc it's gone from "I think I have feelings for him" to "I want spend the rest of my life with him and actually live on equal terms with him". Rather than going in circles it's more like the gravity of the situations differ thats what make them different (imo).
Political issues are a big part of the story considering she's trying to be queen. On top of that given the fact that her main issue is that she is more socially dense, to grow these issues seem to be the main way to address it. And in turn the romance blossoms too.
Also on god they needs show more of prince theo. The story of his first love got me crying!!!
like most people have said - this story is kind of going in circles now. their romance hasn’t had much development & they just keep adding unnecessary drama. like why add another new girl that could potentially like the prince??? i’m hoping it’s something else but why wouldn’t he at least explain it to eli?? she’s just left in the dark worrying by herself. they’re cute, but this story focuses more on political issues rather than their romance
also the princes uncle is SO MUCH HOTTER THAN HE IS lol i sweaarrr i wish he was the ML!! when he was carrying eli i was blushing omg he’s too attractive!
