Idk what part you are at, but I felt the same as for the first couple chapters so I skipped forward, decided I liked his needy, desperate ass and went back to read through him being a little bitch. It gets betterish...at least he has some growth!
I just kinda get his perspective, and their fight during high school is so unreasonable, the dude is just wishing them well.
