It’s a similar premise, but it doesn’t have the same pacing, art, world building and magnetism that CEBIYB does. CEBIYB did a good job with making us connect and understand the characters, but you don’t get that in this story. That might change when we get more choaters so we will have to wait and see
Either way it’s not a story most will like, as the characters aren’t likeable, but I’m reading for the story not the characters, I also don’t care about happy endings, just the quality of the writing.
