I think it's just good that Eijun is not totally "undefeated" per se in the Inajitsu match bcs if the manga goes into it's Act III then that is where we would see Eijun in his peak

Just finished reading this the second time, overall is great, the author had made this as realistic as possible but I had this uncertain feeling about the ending especially on their final game vs inajitsu. Yes the team wins but I wish the author had made Sawamura becomes invincible you know, realistically speaking he wont but this is a sport manga we were all rooting for the MC.
In their game with inajitsu he only pitched 3 innings but he gave up several hits with narumiya almost hit a home run and he was saved by the fielders. I get that the author wants him to feel unsatisfied so that he had more room to grow but I really want to see him becomes the KING OF ACE in the end. People might finally recognised him but I felt that people still see Furuya as the main canon for the team. No hate for other characters tho. For me their game against sankou portrayed him as the ace better than the final.
