Synopsis:
In the distant past, I was cursed by my dealings with the world. Over the next 1,000 years, I lived an endless life. There isn’t a single life I haven’t experienced. I have been the most noble and humble person in the world, I have become a beggar, I have been revered as a saint, and I have been burned as a witch. And after my most miserable and painful life, I thought of it all again. ‘It’s all bothering me now—I’d like to take a break, please. I’ve decided to live a life of a lazy sloth this time, but why are people still bothering me? Let me get some rest.’ Her story of wanting to rest!
So she basically wants to spend her current life idly but her family is super Trash so she leaves her house and gets into an academy. But she's the fl so ofc she gets wrapped in various situations and never gets the chance to actually rest. She has a Fiance, he's a prince, she wants to break off the engagement too but obv it doesn't work. These are just bits and pieces of the story
I read “the lady wants to rest”! It was fun even though family plot wasn’t much. Ashtarte is somewhat similar, like regret but not much actual reflection in actions of it. I think though Ashtarte is far more satisfying and family plot is much bigger, even than in terminally ill extra. I think u will enjoy it. I think it’s the most satisfying out of all these three
I liked The lady wants to rest in the beginning but truthfully, it became kinda boring midway. And the family also never repented or Regretted properly. To me it felt like she forgave them too quick which was kinda unfair to the og fl because of everything she went through.
Also I went to read Ashtarte a few times last year but omg some people were bashing it so bad that's why I ended up not reading it. But now that you're saying it, I'm definitely gonna read it.
I’m Ashtarte they also didn’t reflect on it properly in the end, and kiss was kinda… very anti-climactic. But Fl never forgave them and prioritized her happiness and that’s satisfying. In Lady Wants to Rest, I agree. Too easy and too fast, but I think she only did that because OG FL wanted that. OG Fl was kinda… no offense she was just pathetic
Literally had the same thought as you said in the last line lolol. Cause honestly, I could never. Also it was kinda weird how the duke suddenly started to love his 2nd wife. I mean he was hung up on his first wife for that long so they should've shown a time skip or something before making him look like in love with the second wife. It was super sudden
Tbh I think it’s realistic cause a lot of how she said “take things for granted” so when she “died” he suddenly started to care because he lost her. U don’t appreciate some stuff until u loose them. For me it was really pathetic and unforgivable how he treated his family. It’s also very similar to Ashtarte, with the reason for neglect of the daughter. Very pathetic and petty
can anyone recommend me stories like this where the family regrets their actions towards the mc?
