Makes sense, Since this is for straight men they use the typical "The female of the species is hotter and more rational than the man" or "a female race were all are attractive in a conventional way" to be fair there are some races that are in fact just females like Lamias and Harpies, but why not a hot snake guy too, is fiction anyway.
Btw I think the closest we have for that kind of stuff, more than Harem is Yaoi, I've heard is easier to come up for raunchy stuff when all of the characters are males, because with women they end up falling in gender stereotypes and have to be careful on how they show kinky stuff. With a male tho, you can go crazy.
