my biggest worry about s2 was that it would destroy the foundations set up in s1 and drift from it's initial charm as realistic yet melodramatic. but s2 actually did the opposite and tied up the loose threads left behind perfectly. i think it might've also helped satisfy those who disliked s1 for it's vague, bittersweet realism while also retaining the same themes that made s1 so appealing to readers like myself! literally such a perfect, well written ending
