I'm all for Kwonyoung realizing he would rather live his own life than force himself into a toxic work environment just to prove his family wrong. He deserves only the best for his own mental health :3
This point though! I agree completely that he doesn't need to sacrifice happiness just to prove himself to people that have always hurt his ego. I don't think he'd ever feel satisfied because his position would still be below his family, so they could still say he's lacking compared to them or sth. When you're happy with your life and your job though, you stop thinking and comparing yourself to others. He needs to separate his persona from his family imo, have an independent life so he can build self-confidence.
I think it's kinda healing(?) in a way thinking that Kwonyoung(KY) if wants to be a teacher
1.because Juha's mom was a good teacher that is concerns bout her students and if she had lived, she was planning to talked with KY parents about them putting too much pressure on him.. And the one who made KY feels like he wants her to be his family Like not all children are the same even if they have the same parents because they are different individuals.. Heck children can even have different descriptions of their parents despite having same parents..
2.he might not think of being the same type of teacher (motherly/fatherly) but he most definitely shows that he is NOT gonna be the type that would put pressure on the kids, looks down on them or not even gonna try to approach/help them if they don't like u
3.living for himself.. Before he sort of like give up on himself yet still carries resentments in his heart like trying not to have Juha get adopted by his family.. But now, he is learning what he likes, what he could do, what he is good at, being love and giving love etc...
Kinda like how author make the family wants to get KY involves in their company now.. Just because I want KY to reject them, move out, let the family knows and realize they are the caused that he isn't happy/let go of himself/felt useless etc and he finds happiness when they are not a part of his life.. Them realizing they're shit.. Except for mom maybe? Since like there was a scene where his mom said to his dad about he shouldn't pressure or treat KY like that, like it's the wrong way to raise him or smthg..
I sympathize with comments that want Kwonyoung out of the office. It doesn't seem like he'd be happy there, and as a reader I just want him to be happy. I get it, character development and whatnot, but it's his life and the moment he stops caring about validation from people who don't matter (cough his family), he'd be better off. It's why he is so dedicated to Juha ^^ they are... in love... TTvTT
Kwonyoung's inferiority complex was so bad in the first arc, it's why I feel like him "proving" himself to his family won't seem very satisfying. Because I think his family sucks anyways, he doesn't have to prove anything to anyone! I just want Kwonyoung to finally shake off the inferiority complex that HIS OWN FAMILY GAVE HIM!!!! THEY DID THAT TO HIM!!!
