Finally someone who gets it Ian and TJ maybe in different circumstances could’ve had a normal relationship, but they’re products of their environment and this relationship they have is all built on trauma bonding and very unhealthy codependency - it’s not good with Jo, from what we’ve seen so far, he’s quick to dismiss Ian’s faults. I understand that Ian was young and naive during his time in the gang, but if he wants to be with him he has to accept all of him. But hey, maybe that’ll happen later.
I can’t see this ending with Ian being with either TJ or Jo lmao, they are both selfish and infatuated with the IDEA of Ian. I’m also kind of sick of people justifying TJ and Ian’s twisted relationship — it is unhealthy and parasitic. There isn’t much “complexity” to their relationship, they bond only through trauma and instability. Family can be toxic, so that’s why ties must be severed.
