came to the comment section to gush about the baby sleeping with the cat because that was so cute but just got disappointed.

(rant below, you can read if you want but im not looking for a debate, im just simply seeking an outlet to release )

because abuse (any type of abuse) is not so easily solved like some people think. yeah, let's just go blame everything on bianca and yvonne AND NOT THE ACTUAL FUCKING PERSON WHO IS DOING THE ACTUAL FUCKING ABUSE and the fucking people who HID it.

you know why abuse victims have a history of being unable to get away from the situation? because they are made to think that what they are going through is shameful, so they do everything they can to hide it, ESPECIALLY TO THEIR FAMILY.

especially in this manhwa's TIME PERIOD, WHERE PATRIARCHY IS MOST PREVALENT, which is fucking worse than in our time-which people kinda conveniently forgot???

Just because the FL is special because of her status and abilities, IT DOES NOT APPLY TO EVERY FEMALE IN THIS STORY, even if it's the sister of her most trusted maid who was in a different village, which is practically almost in a DIFFERENT COUNTRY if you compare their modes of travel to modern times to this manhwa's time period, again, something in which people keeps neglecting to take into the picture.

And the entire fucking village somehow had knowledge or an idea of what was happening BUT ALTOGETHER HAD A SILENT AGREEMENT TO HIDE WHAT WAS HAPPENING (because duh, who would want to report this and have negative attention from nobles who could and would make them disappear in a single order? haha not them)

we need to think about the SETTING of this manhwa, their time period, the status of each character, the mindset of other side characters compared to the leads, BEFORE WE PUSH ALL THE BLAME TO SOMEONE.

ABUSE IS NOT BLACK AND WHITE; almost as everything in this world exists in shades of gray which can be influenced by INDIVIDUAL CIRCUMSTANCES AND PERSPECTIVES.

it's really heartbreaking to see that the attention are fixated on the perceived inadequacy or delayed response to the abuse, instead of directing their outrage towards the abuser and those who actively concealed or remained silent about the situation, which perpetuates a very troubling trend of victim-blaming and misplaced accountability.

this kind of reminds me of under the oak tree. the fl was abused by her father all her life and did everything she could to hide this from everyone around her, especially her husband. people in the comments are always complaining about her not telling her past to her husband Riftan, but they don't understand the shame and guilt the victims go through.
