We are seeing everything in Illiana's POV and with the current chapters, she still hasn't figure out that part yet. Honestly things are taking their sweet time to unfold, actually there isn't really any turn of events yet
I'm guessing it's actually her mother who used to abuse her. I don't remember which chapter, but the Duke said that their relationship, father and daughter, was a 'misunderstanding.' I'm also guessing her father killed the mother in the novel bc he was released from her abusive grasp. Only a theory tho
Can someone pls explain to me why ilyana has all those bruises in the early chaps im only on chap 21 was it abuse ‘self harm ??what was it why did she have those bruises pls spoil it to me or explain it cuz from what im seeing it wasnt abuse( im not sure ) im very slow on this pls help
