The MC has made it clear from the beginning he’s not interested in men therefore there was no baiting. Ppl are just too used to stories where the MC say theyre straight and then randomly decide to be gay half way though. I think it’s an interesting subversion of the trope, and there are plenty of other queer couples in the story therefore it’s not like we were tricked into reading something that isn’t a queer manga.

My main issue is that it felt like the relationship kind of came out of nowhere, like he felt about as indifferent to her as every other love interest so it was shocking when it happened. They should have given it more development.

As far as i know, they all have their side stories where they end up with the mc after the main plot.

Yeah, i agree completely with this, i didn't have a problem with the girl as far as character and personality go, she's pretty likable, it also felt like a pleasant surprise when the story DIS NOT go the way i predicted.

Still, my problem was that the mc didn't show any interest in her and suddenly?? They were together??

it's not "suddenly" from what we know they're childhood friends cause their older siblings were friends plus were watching their relationship develop. it's not like they decided to date right this very chapter. if it really bothers you try thinking about it like a wlw relationship since the mc is technically a girl in a guys body(?)

I will actually be happy if it was gonna be portrayed as wlw, but will it? Kinda ruins the story for me now that I'm spoiled lol. Might drop

i feel like if you have a premise where he's meant to end up with a dude, and have him together with a bunch of ml's on the cover and have BL written huge on the cover the ship of "oh this is gay" has kinda sailed.
im sure author did it for like an unexpected ending but its still queer baiting

I didn't say it bothered me or that i didn't like it, i just said i found it weird how he never saw her that way and suddenly he ended up dating her, as far as the story goes i like it, i just think their relationship lacks development (from mc side, saw him blushing around dude mire than the girl he ends up dating)
