Yes that's exactly it. I remember I said this on twitter and I got attack for it. Everything Jooin was going against because he was tired of it but he ended up going back to it.

i don’t know how to explain it, but i think the reasoning why the ending felt like it lackluster was because Jooin gave really good advice to Cain but never applied it to himself???
