You can argue that he's been around killers and that he has seen ML kill, so he should be desensitized. MC is more of a reluctant witness rather than a person actively encouraging him to kill. And it's been shown time and time again than MC is scared that he'll be killed and has no backbone to even kill. Give our bb some chance. He'll need a bit of struggle in him life.
