I hate the "separate fiction from reality" argument because if you're consuming media that normalizes it at some point you're gonna feel less strong about it in real life that's just how it is unfortunately. HOWEVER COMMA I feel like that applies much more with violent content like rape and abusive relationship dynamics than it does to this. There's mutual attraction, they waited until he was an adult, and have a healthy dynamic where nothing was forced. It's still a tad bit Ick but at least he acknowledged that he shouldn't be dating a student and tried to avoid it, that's definitely better than most. I also think that depicting terrible things in media is fine but they should be displayed for what they are and not made to look normal and romantic. Also x2, people tend to forget that this website has no age verification, anyone can access it and there tends to be a very young audience on here. I know that's not the authors fault or whatever but it's still something to think about when trying to figure out why people feel the need to make those comments over and over again.
Why are u all ranting in comments about it being a teacher x student story!? That's literally the tag? U all acting like this is the first time u have seen something like this in a romance. I feel like manga/anime (Especially bl) isn't the place u should be projecting real life onto because lets be real most of them don't have the moral high ground... If u cannot separate fiction from reality and find it so disgusting(which is fair because it is wrong irl) then don't read it...
It's just that the majority of the media (anime or manga) has questionable stuff. Ik it sounds bad but I guess i kinda got used to it
