No way people are hounding purple hair over a blush compared to literal murder Like I get he mainly sticks with black-hair because of connivence but I feel it’s a grounded, selfish humane desire that’s at least reasonable compared to yknow ch1

You know they're both murderers, right? Even if it was in self-defence Hyunwoo killed a person and did not report it. Also people are not just hounding him for a blush but because it looks like he's cheating and he's an awful boyfriend.

I think I should have worded my comment differently. I know they’re both “bad” people, but I’m seeing people dismiss Hyunwoo as “the bad guy of the relationship”. While they’re obviously messed up, I don’t think Hyunwoo is as “bad” as Eunsung. If anything, he feels more humane, while Eunsung feels more…dissonant. First of all, self defense is COMPLETELY different from attempted murder (even if not intended). We saw the outcome when Hyunwoo didn’t defend himself. And I think because self-defense cases can get tricky, especially for someone like Hyunwoo who I don’t think has massive support, it makes sense why he doesn’t immediately report it (obviously wrong, but understandable). But Hyunwoo DOES contemplate on whether to report or get rid of the evidence before he’s interrupted, so I don’t think you can just write him off like that. However, Eunsung’s reasoning for murder was due to fit of rage from his clearly obsessive love. It was a very selfish desire, and much more drastic compared to Hyunwoo’s breaking up. So for me, Hyunwoo’s case sheds more empathy than Eunsung’s.

As for the cheating thing, yeah I still don’t think it overshadows murder. Also it’s a blush, it may LOOK like a he’s an awful boyfriend but it’s not like he straight up cheated. And while it is selfish to be attracted to someone else while in a relationship, it’s not as bad as actual murder!

Just because Hyunwoo doesn’t fall into a cookie-cutter template of a perfect lover doesn’t mean he should be written off as a complete asshole, let alone compared to Eunsung’s grievances. I don’t think it’s fair to make him the villain of the relationship when there’s clearly more complexity to it given his social perception and obvious loneliness.

Sorry for the rant LOL. My original comment was lowkey kind of vague and unclear so apologies for that.
