The FML herself is also average too amd not in the bad way. She was just an average Joe in her past life and when returning she's going to be the same but with more info. It's extremely realistic in my opinion.

this is the first isekai i read where ML is kinda.....ordinary?? but it makes it interesting. hes not a swordsmanship/magic prodigy, hes not a strong politician, he does his duty and martial arts but not exactly have exaggerated achievements or anything, hes also obviously defeated in terms of express power and mentality before FL came, so he doesnt have a leg up in court. hes just a regular joe who is a firstborn prince. that makes FL's struggle even more precarious bc her husband isnt special like the many other isekai ML. i do like their modesty, its a different protagonist flavor.
ON THE OTHER HAND i feel like, the lady in waiting is what the typical isekai FL is; modern, audacious, and confident. i feel like instead of ML, the prodigy/trump card on their side is the lady in waiting. theres only little chapters now but im kinda hooked on her character, she steals the scenes sorta
