Coz Saito was always the one in higher position. The power dynamic was weird. He would push and test Tomita in ways he deemed was fair coz he needed to know Tomita's feelings. Like with his ex-wife. Same with meeting Tomita's friend and co-worker. As well as the issue with the guy with glasses.
I mean, Saito was honest with his feelings to a point but he has a tendency to wheedle at Tomita that pushes the latter to go through stuff he's not entirely familiar or comfortable with. In the end, their relationship kind of feels rushed since their closeness isn't wholly because of something organic. As if Tomita was forced into it. Don't get me wrong. He's happy. He likes Saito. Not completely a fan of how they got there tho.
Did that make sense?
As a side note: Personally, I feel that Saito is in a more vulnerable position in the relationship. As we saw, he liked Tomita way before the guy even thought of Saito in that light.
I can kind of understand why Saito did what he did. Especially with his past being a host. Feelings were superficial and affections only went as far as money could take you. I feel like, in his own way, testing Tomita was a knee-jerk reaction. Self-preservation if you will. In think Saito's not the type to jump into relationships. He was waiting for the right opportunity. So, when Tomita gave an inch, Saito took a mile.
Again, I hope that made sense.
Although I am a huge fan of the second couple, i wish tomita was treated a bit better. Idk why I am a bit frustrated with saito. Did someone else feel like this? And if so why? Cause I am so confused about my frustration with saito lol.
