I agree. He loved him. But he loved his ambition more.
His love was about control more than anything. If he truly loved Jaein, he would've sent him away and protected him, faked his death, anything to protect him and their child. Forcing Jaein to miscarry their child was the biggest betrayal he could've ever done and proved his love wasn't really love at all.
